Our Big Girl!

Daddy posting here--We're a little behind with the posts, but our baby girl hit 18 months a few weeks ago. Although most 18 month-olds are about twice her size, it's not because of her appetite. If she had it her way, she would spend most of her day eating and snacking. We're not sure where all the food goes, but the extra fuel enables her to climb the climbing wall in the back yard on her own, dance to Sesame Street, and run with these short, choppy steps like she's running the tire drill. She's learning about two words a day and has recently mastered one of our favorite household phrases......Go Cats! (The number 10 ranked team in the country by the way). She loves her older brother and thinks everything he does is hysterical. They read a lot of books together...the other day she was flipping through pages and saw a picture of Robin Hood and pointed at him and screamed "Daddy"......not sure if that's a compliment or not. To her, I'm either a legendary storybook hero or a strange looking man in green tights.

To wrap it up, she melts my heart every time I look at her, and I'm quite sure she can do no wrong. She is attached to her mommy's hip during the day when she's not imitating her big brother. We love this little girl!

My good friend, Erin was in Bozeman to visit a few weeks ago & she took some AMAZING family pictures for us while she was here!! She is so talented & so good with the kids that it really is a treat to have her do this! It's not an easy thing to have 2 little ones who were also fighting colds looking the same direction with a half-normal expression on their faces but we got quite a few keepers. She also took Dusty & Gina's engagement pictures too & they turned out fabulous!

Brady's First Day of Preschool!!

My little boy had his first day of preschool today!! He is going to Willson Preschool which is about 2 minutes away Monday & Friday mornings! He was so ready & so excited to start today-it definitely helps that he knows 5 other kids in his class of 14! One of his teachers, Miss Tammy used to babysit my brothers & I a long time ago so that is really fun too. A typical day includes free play, snack time, circle time, outside playground time & lunch.

Livvy & I are excited about our girls time now too! We had a great morning visiting Grandma & shopping! :)

These are from the day he got his backpack--Liv wanted to be part of it so she put on her backpack she got from Grammy & Grampy.

It's hard to see, but his name is on the backpack-he chose the camo one because he loves Papa's camo 4-wheeler! :)

Summer at the Cabin

These pictures are from several fun trips to the cabin over the course of the summer! It has been said before, but this place is truly a little person's heaven & the kids love being up there with Nana & Papa & spending quality time with them & us! :)

This is from May when we opened it for the season-the lake is actually a reservoir so the amount of beach varies throughout the summer!

Papa & Brady started a tradition of going for an early morning ride to get coffee/hot chocolate & the morning paper!

Livvy & her Papa--although she is talking a bunch now & learning about 3 new words a day, "Papa" was one of the first words she said & it melted my dad's heart.

Brady also did a lot of fishing with Papa & Daddy this summer & even caught a couple!

Brady is such a big boy he gets to sleep in the bunk beds! He is hoping his little sister is big enough next year to sleep on the bottom bunk.
