First Bath Together

The kids got to take their first bath together last night & they had so much fun! I can't believe how quickly Liv is growing up...it just goes by so fast! Brady was very good & Livvy thought it was just the greatest thing.

This photo was taken before we got her face cleaned up from the carrots she had for dinner! Unlike Brady, she is NOT a very clean eater! :)

Brady Riding Bikes!

At this point, Brady is still a little "lukewarm" about riding his bike, but he LOVES riding his John Deer tractor Jeff's aunt & uncle, Craig & Shelly bought him for his first Christmas! He's gone from pushing it around, to riding it~pretty cute.

We gave one of these laptops for our friend Maddy & had to pick on up for Livvy too! It's her FAVORITE toy!

MSU v. MSU

Jeff & I went out with my parents & Dusty to watch the Bobcats play Michigan State for their first game! The 'Cats didn't fare too well, but that was sort of expected & we had a total blast at the game anyway! My youngest brother, EJ, graduated from, & played baseball at Michigan State & still lives in East Lansing so we had an awesome host! He even hooked us up with sideline passes & organized a full golf tourney with his buddies! All in all, it was an AWESOME weekend & we all got to spend my mom's birthday together on Sunday too.

Grammy & Grampy were able to come up & watch the kids here in Bozeman, so that was such a treat for Brady & Liv & they had so much fun! THANK YOU!!

This is my FAVORITE photo from the trip~Coach Izzo is Michigan State's basketball coach & is adored by everyone. He was super nice & it was fun to meet him on the sideline...I love this picture because he just looks so darn happy to be with us...like he's an uncle or something! :)

First Bobcat Home Game!

We had our first Bobcat home game of the 2009 season on Saturday~Livvy's first football game of her life! :) I'm proud to say the Weedin clan was out the door headed to our tailgate at 9:30! The kiddos & I had to take shelter, however, for a bit because of the gale-force winds! Anyhoo, Brady is in his 3rd Bobcat Football season & is, therefore, an old pro at it! At several points during the game, he was leading the stands in different cheers ("DEFENSE! DEFENSE!" &"GOOOOO CATSSSSS!!") Liv seemed to really enjoy herself & was having so much fun she decided to skip both naps for the day...just didn't want to miss a second! :)

Chicago! Pearl Jam!

Jeff & I went to Chicago at the end of August to belatedly celebrate our 7th Anniversary! We literally had one of the best trips EVER. We got to join up with The Holmquist family to celebrate the life of Uncle Mike Richter (Ramie's uncle, Jan's brother.) Mike & Pearl Jam bassist, Jeff Ament, were best friends from growing up in Big Sandy, MT & Jeff invited Mike's friends & family to come out to PJ's Chicago concert which was on Mike's birthday. It was incredibly emotional, but such a tribute to the person Mike was. At one point in the concert, Jeff A. had everyone in the United Center sing Happy Birthday for Mike.

They took 2 buses from Milwaukee & we met up with them in Chicago pre-concert. We had backstage passes & incredible seats! We entered the concert from the backstage & got to party with the band pre/post concert in this huge private bar in the United Center. INCREDIBLE. I could not have been more impressed with Jeff Ament. He was truly a class act & so generous...he even remembered me from when I played basketball at his house 10 years ago in Missoula! :) I think that impressed my hubby!

Oh~did I mention PJ is our favorite band?? It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience & we felt so grateful to be included.

Jeff & I had such a fun time in Chicago~it's one of my all-time favorite cities! We stayed right downtown at a cute hotel, ate great food & even got to see some good friends from Iowa that live an hour & a half from Chicago (The Paulsens & The Perkins) EJ came up for one night too so it was perfect! :)
