Thompson Boys Visit!!

Our dear friend, Kevin & his little boy Colton left mama at home & headed out to Montana for a boys weekend in May & we had a great time!  The weekend was all about the kids & it was perfect timing because it was the weekend before Brady had his surgery.  The weather was pretty average (story of our "spring" thus far) but we managed to go to the duck ponds, swim at The Ridge, hit up the museum, hang out at Riverside & spend many hours in the backyard just playing!  The kids all had so much fun together & it was pretty cute to see how much Colton was into Brady the big boy. :)  Lots of fun with these guys ahead and we are so glad they came out--it means so much to us!

We met my folks & Dusty & Gina to help them open up the cabin & get some work done!  We have a new dock up there & a new little sitting area the boys built so we are excited to get up there & use it!

Golf & Cinco De Mayo to Celebrate Lez's Birthday!

Jeff and I had a kid-free weekend in Billings in May for Lez's birthday--Bryce had organized a fun-filled time of golf, Cinco De Mayo party & spa time so we couldn't resist!  The kids had a great weekend with my parents at the cabin & Doug & Sarah were able to come up for the day to play with us which was a blast too!  Here are some of the more blog-friendly pics of our time (I've got some doozys of the 4 of us dancing while playing darts that shall remain unpublished but held for blackmail purposes...) :)

Here are some pictures from Mothers Day this year.  I was spoiled rotten by my hubby & kids & also got to spend time with my own mama & grandma so it was perfect.  I simply could not feel any more blessed than I am right now & am so very thankful for everything...love, health, faith, family & friends make for a great life that is for sure.

Bye Bye Tonsils!!

So we've been off our blogging a bit lately but for good reason!  We've been busy! :)  I figured I better start with the most recent & most significant thing that happened to the Weedin family in May...Brady had surgery to have his tonsils & adenoids out & tubes in his ears on May 25th!  He's had many issues with ear infections and after an Xray & sleep oxygen test the doctor determined that his extra large adenoids & tonsils were causing the problems (not the least his hearing issues because of ears full of fluid that wouldn't drain!) 

We were very glad to have a more permanent solution to his issues but also quite nervous the day of his surgery.  Thankfully, Grammy was able to come up & spend the day with Liv while we were at the hospital & we were sooooo thankful for that!!

  I was very careful not to show him my worry but needless to say there were lots & lots of prayers being said by this mommy & daddy on that morning and once he was wheeled away into the OR I lost it. But everything went just as we had told him it would on that morning & he frankly was pretty excited about it all (especially all the yummy stuff he would get to eat!)

They gave him some "amnesia medicine" to make him relaxed before taking him into the OR...ummmm....yes this really worked...it was as if our little boy had had too many brewskies or something & actually looked at Jeff & said while giggling, "Two Daddies!!" :)  It was pretty funny & definitely helped mommy & daddy relax too.  And yes, we do have video of this! :)

Here was his first of many bowls of ice cream!  He was a total trooper throughout this whole recovery...pretty amazing, really.  We watched LOTS of movies, read books, played with MoonDough that grammy gave him & the EtchASketch that Nana gave him.  We didn't get depressed about the rainy weather because, frankly, we couldn't do anything anyway! :)  Jeff stayed home from work Wednesday & Thursday & Lez came up and helped over the weekend while Jeff was at Bryce's bachelor party weekend which was such a help.

Thinking it's pretty funny that he was eating his 2nd bowl of chocolate ice cream on the 1st day! :)

Unfortunately, Liv & I have both been pretty sick so to say we were "laying low" is a big understatement.

Oh & we added 4 new friends to our family over the weekend!  Welcome Nemo, Dorie, Bruce & Marlin! :)

Overall, everything went very well & Brady is recuperating really great!  We got lots of visits, calls & notes from friends who made Brady feel very special & loved so thank you!! :)

Supergirl

Jeff has been calling Livvy "Supergirl" for quite some time now so when I came across a supergirl t-shirt I had to snag it.  After all this talk about Tball lately, of course she had to give it a try too! :)

The weather is still fairly marginal but we are trying to ignore that & still get some fun backyard time!  Brady starts Tball in a couple weeks so we thought we should do a little practice catching...he can throw just fine but the catching needs a little work... :)  Livvy loves her swinging & watching her big brother play catch with Daddy.
