Fun with Livvy {Dance Practice, Tea Parties, Thanksgiving Feast}

Miss Livvy has sure has had a fun few weeks!  We were invited to a tea party and to watch several scenes from The Nutcracker.  This was such a fun excuse to get all dressed up with our buddies Tahlia, Maddy & Taylor, their mommas and even nanas!  The girls were feeling very fancy and loved watching the ballerinas dance.

The next fun event was Livvy's preschool's Thanksgiving Feast!  The "feast" is prepared completely by the kiddos and consists of a turkey and vegetable stew (or as Jeff calls it a water based broth with a couple carrots and small bits of turkey), pumkin bars, fruit salad and cornbread. Since this was our 4th Thanksgiving Feast we are seasoned vets and have learned to have a backup lunch plan afterward. :)  It is really fun to see how much the kids get into it and to listen to all their fun songs they have worked on.

I helped with the vegetable chopping table--they have extremely dull knives but do pretty good work!  Lots and LOTS of handwashing involved in this one...

Next we had Parent Observation in her dance class--usually we sit in a different room and watch on a closed-circuit TV which was a little strange at first but definitely helps with these little girls' focus!  Anyhoo, it was so much fun to watch our little girl do her thing! :)  The class is called Creative Movement but it's really ballet based which this momma knows nothing about but since Tahlia is in her class my buddy Paige fills me in. :)  They have a recital in June so are slowly working on a dance.  She just loves this class and Jeff and I loved watching our little peanut!

This video is so classic and so cute...it's just a little snippet of their dance...to say the least it's a good thing the recital isn't until June because they have a ways to go in the synchronization department!

Playing Dress Up (Grown Up Style)

We had a couple theme parties in November that were soooo much fun!  The first one was the Eagle Mount Gala where the theme was Vintage Travel--Neither Jeff or I are great about pulling together costumes but we did our best and had a ton of fun with our friends, Ryan and Lynsey and Sunny & Aaron.  Eagle Mount is a fantastic cause and boy did we have fun...

Now I'm usually not a "Selfie" gal but my makeup was so dramatic I wanted to capture it! :)

Then a week later Gina had some of the girls that were in her wedding party over for a little '80's Prom party...she even found me an old gem of a dress at the second hand store so all I had to do was crimp my hair and show up! :)  We had a ball.

Daddy and Grampy Go Fishin' in the Bayou!

Jeff and Doug went on an awesome Father/Son fishing trip down in New Orleans in late October and had an absolute blast.  They caught lots of big Redfish and made lots of fun memories and spent some really quality time together--Jeff just loved it!  I don't have any pictures of them together but the two below are great!

Halloween 2013

Wow do I have a lot of catching up to do on here!!!!! :/

Here are some of our pictures from Halloween this year.  The kiddos went as pirates (Anne Bonnie and Blackbeard)  I figured it may be the first (and last) time I could convince them to dress alike and it worked! :)  They loved their costumes and loved trick or treating with their friends.  Our neighborhood is so busy with little kids that I had to be on duty at the house handing out candy with Sonny who by the way, may be the only dog I know who absolutely LOVES Halloween.  He thinks all the kids are coming to the door to see him and he always feels very fancy in his football costume--luckily Uncle Dusty doesn't seem to mind his jersey being worn by a dog...

Poor Livvy Kay was really sick that week :(  EJ and Jenee hosted us all over for a fun little Halloween party that week but all she wanted to do was snuggle Papa...I don't think he minded one bit but it was breaking our hearts to see our little peanut sick.  Daddy was in New Orleans on an awesome fishing trip with Grampy that week but got home on Halloween day!

Jenee had organized all these fun little Halloween games--this one was mummy making where we broke into teams and competed to see who could make a mummy the fastest!

Another game was trying to figure out what was in these bags (goblins eyeballs = grapes)  This was SO MUCH FUN --Brady just loved it!!

Jeff and I helped in Brady's classroom for his Halloween party--Jeff manned the bean bag toss...a game he and Brady are experts at thanks to the multitude of tailgates they have attended! :)

Fun Weekend with Grammy & Grampy!

Grammy & Grampy came up for a weekend visit and to stay with the kiddos in mid-October while Jeff and I were out of town--to say the four of them had a great time would be a total understatement!  Their weekend was action-packed with football, hay maze, bowling and lots of fun in-between!  The kids love their Grammy & Grampy so very much and love every second they spend with them!

Brady played quarterback again and had a couple awesome plays!  Even completed a pass which was a small miracle at this age! :)

Brady is a Cub Scout!

Brady started Cub Scouts this fall and is loving it!  Jeff loved Cub Scouts as a little boy and the two of them are having a great time doing it together.

This first outing happened to fall on a Bobcat home game...my sweet hubby didn't utter a single complaint about missing the game and they had a great day together. :)  I just love him.
