Mr. Don Ayers

My dear friend, Emily, lost her father last week. Don was one of the warmest people I have met & I was lucky enough to spend quite a bit of quality time with him in July when she got married in New York. I am so glad that she got to share that special day with him & make those incredibly special memories during her wedding. He later told her it was the best week of his life & by the look of his smiling face & contagious laughter all week, I believe it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, EM. I love ya.

Don's Obituary

Donald James Ayers, of Snohomish, WA / Avon, NY, died suddenly on August 20, 2009, at age 57. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie (Collins) Ayers; son, James, of Snohomish; and daughter, Emily (Anthony) Sagona, of Webster, NY.He was predeceased by his son, Joshua; and parents, Donald R. and Anna (Trubia) Ayers.Don was a dedicated composite specialist for Boeing, where he was employed for 30 years. Because of his work ethic and amazing way with people, Don was privileged to travel the world doing the work he loved, making lifelong friends all along the way. He will be remembered as a loving and proud husband, father, son and brother. Although an only child by birth, Don was absolutely adored by the many siblings he gained by marriage. He was an exceptional cook, a good neighbor and a genuine friend. The gentle ease of his humor, laughter and joy of life was instantly uplifting. Don will be deeply missed by all whose lives he graced, and especially by loyal canine companion, Nikki. Don is additionally survived by his stepmother, Mary Lou Ayers, of Henrietta, NY; mother-in-law, Dana Collins, of Avon, NY; several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Great Times at the Cabin

We took the kids up to the lake to meet my parents last weekend for a couple of days & had a ton of fun! Here are some fun pics~

The first thing Brady says he's looking forward to when we go to the cabin is the "Donettes" (aka white powdered little donuts...yummy!!) Here is some evidence he was loving them Saturday...

Livvy LOVES the cabin! She was all smiles the second we walked in & was really having fun on our boat rides!

Brady swam in the lake!!! I was so proud of him~we anchored our boat & he & Jeff & I took a little swim. At first, he was clinging onto Jeff for dear life (we soon learned we needed a life jacket too! :)) But then he was having a total blast...even with the icky seaweed!

For some reason, this reminds me completely of my pal, Ramie! I've seen Rame make this face a million times! :)

One of the spots we anchored was a really neat little cove & Jeff & Brady explored & pretended to find lots of things...such as dinosaur bones!!

I finally had a chance to waterski!! Two pregnancies have thwarted my chances to go the last couple of summers so I was totally LOVING it & it was fun for Brady to see Mama doing something athletic for once! :)

A Great Summer with Friends!

We have had such a great summer~lots & lots of fun times with our friends! Here are some random pictures from the last couple of months.

We got to have Maddy over for a day while the Johnsons were in town a couple of months ago~Maddy turns one in a few days & I just can't believe how fast it's gone! She is such a sweet little girl & has an awesome personality.

We helped JT celerate his 30th Birthday last weekend~Brady even got to help Paige with the candles!

We had our friends, The Thomas Family, over for dinner one night a few weeks ago & Brady & Emma were running back & forth from his room trying on every hat he had...it was pretty cute

Camping with the Fischers

We met our good friends, Jay & Brandi Fischer, for a quick little day-camping trip a couple of weekends ago & had a great time! Brady even helped Jeff & Jay catch a couple of fish! We were wishing we could have stayed overnight but our little sweetpea Liv is a little small to do the tent thing...:)
