Nebraska Part 2: Fun at the Farm!

As I mentioned earlier, we got to stay with Craig & Shelly who run the Weedin Farm~Brady was so impressed with Craig driving his combine I joked he started looking at him like he was Michael Jordan or something! :) It's awesome to see the workings of their 1600 acre corn & soybean farm & it truly is a beautiful place...the heart of the country! After this fun visit Brady may want to be a farmer someday! The only thing that was painfully absent was Great-Grandpa Weedin...we really missed him this visit.

THANK YOU again to Craig & Shelly for their hospitality~we had a great time.

Climbing into the combine with Daddy

Jeff said Brady was so excited about the whole deal he could have stayed in there with Craig all day!

What do you know??!! A stray ear of corn! :)

The next day we got to visit the neighbor's farm~they have goats, cows, chickens & (oddly) rabbits~the kids had fun at the "petting zoo." :) Unfortunately I missed catching the funniest moment when we caught the goats sneaking out to munch on some corn across the street...hilarious...they just ran by us & snuck right back into their pen & acted like they had done nothing wrong...strange animals.

Brady was in heaven~he was also loving his new John Deere hat that Chad & Michaela gave him!

This is "Hoss"~the Weedins miniature pony that they were feeding graham crackers

We got to meet little Libby who is cousin Erin's daughter~she is 18 months old & such a sweetie! It was so much fun to see Erin~it's been too long!

This bunny was GIANT...kind of creeped Mommy out...

Livvy slept through the whole animal visit...she'll catch it next time!

Brady pretending to do farm chores

Jeff got to show Brady & I the basketball court in the barn that Grampy, Craig & Kay played on as kids...as well as the Weedin boys & also Jeff & Lez whenever they came during the summer~it's a huge court in the loft of the barn & you can still see where Grampy kept score!
