Swimming Lessons

The kids have been taking a few swim lessons at The Ridge with our friend Mary Boling and they are loving it! It is very clear that she has taught hundreds of kids to swim over the last 30 years & it's been so fun to watch them improve! Our little girl loves the water & I am so glad we are starting swim lessons with her now!  Brady is a little more hesitant but Mary is so good with him & he is getting better & better each week!  Here are some videos of their progress!  Mary also helped Brady get comfortable with his snorkel gear in case he wants to try that while we're in Hawaii!

This photo was actually taken a couple weeks ago when Jane was visiting with Lez & Bryce.  They had some wedding planning to do so we took the kiddos swimming!

Gym Time!

My cousin, Gretchen, who lives in London was in town in February for Heidi's wedding & we were able to get the kids together along with Erin & her two little ones!  Wilson gym is open on Thursday mornings to the public & kids can ride bikes, scooters, shoot hoops & basically just run around!  It was really fun for the kids to play & moms to visit & hopefully we can see them a little more next time they are here!

Happy Birthday Livvy Kay!!

It's so hard to believe our little girl is 2 years old!!  It feels like yesterday that she was born & forever changed our lives for the better.  She is just the sweetest little thing.  She makes me smile all day long, she still has her daddy wrapped around her finger, and she is her big brother's best friend.  We love you so very much Olivia & are so very blessed because of you.

We had a little family birthday party on Friday with Nana, Papa, Dusty & Gina & Great Grandma Kessler.  I made dinner & birthday cake & we opened presents afterwards--it was just perfect.  It was so much fun because I could tell all day long she felt very special.  There were lots of calls & visits from friends & family to wish her Happy Birthday & she just soaked it all in!

I asked Brady what he thought Livvy's favorite food was & he said cake...so I refined that & asked what she would like for dinner & he suggested carrots (which she does love)...then he thought about it a little more & said "Mama why don't you make her carrot cake?!"  So I did!  Pretty cute and certainly appeared to be a big hit with the birthday girl! :)

Fun-a-palooza in Billings!

We went to Billings last weekend to stay with Lez & Bryce & Jane & had such a great time (as always!)  We also got to help our good buddy Ben celebrate his 4th birthday!!  The weekend was literally the most fun weekend for the kids...complete with their first trip to a waterpark & first trip to Chucky Cheese--so classic.  Here are some fun shots of our time!

That night we hit up Chucky Cheese--yes, it was everything I remembered (and all that entails) & the kids had such a blast--I think it was all a bit overwhelming at first, but I could hardly pull Brady away from it all when we left!

Happy Birthday Papa!

We helped Papa celebrate his birthday a day early last night with a fun "Hawaii" themed party!  Here are some cute pictures of the kiddos with their Papa--they love him so dearly. :)

Brady signed his own name in the card to Papa so he was pretty proud of it!

Livvy has become obsessed with her new goggles for swimming...I have to hide them after a while!  She takes a break from reading with the goggles to whip out some pushups too! :)

Aloha!!

We went on an amazing trip to Maui that our agency qualified for the last week in January--we found out about qualifying January 10th so needless to say it was somewhat of a whirlwind of a month!  The kids stayed with my folks and had an awesome week with them filled with all sorts of fun!

Jeff and I had one of the best vacations EVER.  We stayed at the Marriot in Wailea and it was a great spot. 

Here's a quick summary of our week:

 *Lots and lots of time by the pool soaking up rays & sipping on tropical drinks...

*The best, most fun day of golf

*Learning a new skill: Paddleboarding!  LOVED IT!!

*Watching the wonderful whales who were out all day every day & entertained us for hours (someday when I have a better camera I will get lots of great photos of these guys...this camera just didn't cut it...)

*Spent an afternoon at Big Beach loving the soft sand & waves

*Delicious food.

*A couple fun meals catching up with our State Farm friends

*Pure. Complete. Relaxation.
